Description
Type B earth leakage relays are essential components in industrial electrical installations or for EVSE applications. They offer advanced protection against leakage currents, ensuring the safety of people and electrical equipment.
Unlike type A and AC earth leakage relays, type B earth leakage relays are able to detect residual currents with both DC and AC components.
This relay is used in conjunction with a trip protection device (automatic power cut-off) and provides protection against indirect contact. The aim is therefore to limit earth leakage currents to ensure the safety of people and property.
This makes it a versatile, high-performance solution, suitable for a wide range of applications (vehicle charging points, heating systems, variable speed control, etc.).
This model has an additional alarm relay, which warns of a fault, throw a No NC contact for BMS or pilot light.

Remote information
This model has an additional alarm relay (NO, NC). It provides remote access (via an automaton or BMS) to inform about an electrical circuit fault.
Using this additional alarm relay connected to a pilot light, you can visualise a fault directly on the door of an electrical cabinet.
Increased sensitivity
The type B earth leakage relay is highly sensitive for detecting even small leakage currents. Its detection range of 30 mA to 3 A (depending on the differential toroid) means it can react quickly in the event of an earth leak. This sensitivity guarantees optimum protection, even in situations where residual currents are low.
High trigger speed
With a fully configurable triggering speed from 20 ms (instantaneous) to 30 seconds, the installation is optimally protected. A high trigger speed means a faster response to electrical defaults. This considerably reduces the risk of electrocution or fire by enabling the power supply to be cut off quickly.
Instant view of network status
The screen displays the status of the network and changes colour depending on the settings.
- Green screen: safe installation
- Orange screen: earth leakage detected
- Red screen: triggering
This screen also displays leakage current fluctuations in real time.
Thanks to the bar graph on the screen, you can monitor changes in the earth leakage current in real time.
Space saving
Thanks to its reduced width of 36 mm (2 modules), the earth leakage relay fits perfectly into your cabinets and boxes.
