Description

The Trileds® range is the most complete solution on the market for indicating the presence of voltage on AC and DC networks.

These three-phase indicator lights, designed for installation in switchboards or electrical cabinets, provide a clear indication of the presence of voltage and the supply status of the 3 phases, thanks to their three distinct LEDs. To guarantee user safety, the operating voltage is specified on the front of the product.

To enhance the safety of your electrical installation, the Trileds® Smart version features additional functions such as phase rotation indicator, temperature monitoring, asymmetry, phase and neutral loss detection.

The advanced features of this 3-phase presence indicator enable instant detection of any malfunction in the electrical installation. These can be reported remotely via a fault contact. They will also be visible to the operator in the vicinity of the cabinet, thanks to a visual signal. Indeed, the 3 LEDs will flash in a specific way to signal the anomaly.

Rotophase

The Trileds® indicator is equipped with a phase rotation detection system. When powered up, the rotophase function activates for 4.5 seconds, indicating the direction of current flow via the 3 leds. This function secures the installation and assures the installer that the network is correctly connected with the correct direction of rotation. This cycle is repeated every 90 seconds.

Phase failure or neutral failure

In the event of loss of one of the phases (voltage-neutral phase by more than 20%) compared to the highest of the three voltages, the corresponding led goes out and the alarm relay switches. A 4% hysteresis is applied.

In the event of loss or offset of neutral by more than 10%, the led indicates the fault by slow flashing (1.5 Hz) of the 3 leds. The alarm contact switches.

Asymmetry

If a voltage drop greater than 14% of the maximum voltage is detected, the led will indicate the faulty phase by flashing slowly (1.5 hz) and the alarm contact will change over.

Configurable temperature sensor

Excessively high temperatures lead to premature ageing of electrical installation components, and can also cause fires. To limit this risk, the sight glass is fitted with a sensor for measuring the internal temperature of the cabinet.

The temperature threshold is set directly on the back of the sight glass, by means of a rotary switch. With 9 positions (from 35 to 75°C), it toggles the fault contact when the target temperature is reached. The cabinet or enclosure fan can then be switched on. In addition, the 3 leds flash rapidly (6 Hz) to warn operators in the vicinity of the cabinet or enclosure.

This function can be disabled by setting the rotary switch to position 9, the default setting.
