The Sigal® range is an innovative solution for alarm indicators. These indicator lights are designed to provide visual feedback on the status of electrical equipment within an installation.
This Sigal® Smart indicator provides on/off/fault signalling for a motor or installation, utilising Modbus communication for data transmission. The number of operating hours, temperature monitoring and fault tracking are among the data transmitted via the Modbus link. With its wide range of features, the Sigal® Smart version is ideally suited to the monitoring and tracking requirements of critical installations in industrial and commercial environments.

Technical characteristics
Modbus communication
Modbus communication enables various data to be transmitted via an RS485 Modbus RTU connection to a building management system. During installation, the DIP switches allow a unique Modbus address to be assigned to each product. They are directly accessible from the rear of the product without the need to remove the casing or use dedicated software.
Monitoring of critical installations
Using the Modbus connection, and to ensure your system is monitored, you can track: the number of starts, the number of faults, operating time and temperature trends; you can also programme a temperature alarm that triggers flashing LEDs on the front panel and sends information to a building management system.
Temperature sensor
To enable remote temperature monitoring, the unit has been fitted with a temperature sensor. A temperature alarm can be enabled or disabled depending on the numerical value set in the Modbus register. If the temperature exceeds the threshold value, the fault indicator flashes once every second to indicate locally that the temperature alarm is active.
Optimised cabling
Unlike products with fault and alarm contacts, our wiring system requires only two wires (via the Modbus connection), rather than five. Thanks to Modbus communication, it is possible to connect multiple products to the same bus, thereby simplifying installation in large-scale systems. This system also saves a significant amount of time.
Round cut-out
The front of the product is square, whilst the rear is round. This makes it easy to cut out using a 22.5 mm diameter hole cutter. This ensures a straight cut-out, unlike with square cut-outs. This innovation greatly simplifies the process of fitting the product to a cabinet or electrical enclosure.
Lamp test function
All products in the range are equipped with a ‘test’ function (except SIGD). Simply press the ‘test’ button and all the LEDs will light up simultaneously, allowing you to check that the product is working properly.
Custom branding
The simplified front panel access allows you to customise the LED marking file (available in Excel or Word format) without compromising the product’s waterproofing. The glass panel, ultrasonically bonded, guarantees an IP65 protection rating.
Compact design
The depth of 31 mm, which complies with standard cabinet dimensions, allows for mounting on a door or a front panel. The width of the housing is the same as the nut size of the Trileds® Ø30.5 mm.

The connection diagram is clearly visible on the rear panel for easy wiring.
