Description
Earth bars are used to connect multiple earth conductors within an electrical panel. Zelec earth bars have been designed with two objectives in mind: to optimise the product’s efficiency and to simplify its connection to the installation.
The earth bars are also suitable for connecting cables of different cross-sections thanks to their variable-sized holes, which facilitate the passage of cable lugs. This new model is the only earth bar with 38 connections, 29 of which are 16 mm². It is specially designed for applications requiring connections with large cross-sections, such as EV charging points. The larger screw heads allow the larger-diameter holes to be easily identified.
The earth bars are made from high-conductivity brass to ensure superior quality. They are supplied with a complete set of M5 and M6 universal fixings to enable mounting on chassis, copper bars or using spacers.
The Zelec range is compatible with the majority of electrical cabinets and enclosures on the market, such as those from Schneider Electric, Legrand, ABB and Siemens.

Technical characteristics
Designed for EV charging applications
The BDT38 earth bar has been specially designed for EV charging infrastructure applications. These applications require cables with large cross-sections. This eliminates the need for a copper bar and the addition of a terminal, resulting in cost savings and reduced installation time.
The highest intensity on the market
At 13.5 mm thick, this earth bar is the most substantial on the market. Its width has allowed for the inclusion of 29 connections capable of accommodating cables up to 16 mm².
Tin-plated coating
For applications in harsh environments (where H₂S gas is present) or where brass-aluminium compatibility is a concern, we offer this bar in a tin-plated version.
Grade 8.8 steel fasteners
The 8.8-grade steel fasteners guarantee a high standard of quality. They prevent the screw heads from breaking or becoming deformed during assembly or use.
Standard length
The mounting centre-to-centre distance for this earth bar is 462 mm. This size ensures perfect compatibility with the cabinets and enclosures of most manufacturers, such as Schneider Electric and Legrand.

Our earth bars comply with the requirements of European directives. To certify their compliance with health, safety and environmental protection standards, the CE mark is affixed to all our earth bar models.
